Some facts:
- The Association of Insurance
and Risk Managers has stated
"Stress is likely to

- The CBI (Confederation of
British Industry) survey on
absence and labour turnover
reported that the direct costs
of absences stands at £13
billion equating to £531
per employee per year
- 64% of companies surveyed
reported that they had had
to deal with a case or cases
of stress
- Only 51% of companies surveyed
had measures in place to manage
stress in the workplace
- 69% indicated that stress
management did not have a
high profile within the organisation
- 63% did not feel that they
were sufficiently familiar
with best practice guidelines
on managing stress in the
workplace
- 80% of staff turnover is
directly related to unsatisfactory
relationships with one's boss
